Boy gets pontoon boat wish granted by Make-A-Wish Michigan

Make-A-Wish Michigan granted a wish very appropriate for summer on Tuesday. Brendan has a life-threatening seizure disorder, and had wished for a pontoon boat so he could spend time on one of the many lakes near his home. He and his family picked up that boat Tuesday, Aug. 23, with the help of Lakeside Motor Sports in Mecosta.

A boy, battling Epilepsy, got what could be the surprise of a lifetime. 16-year-old Brendan Allison started getting seizures when he was just two years old. His condition is something the Make-A-Wish Foundation took note of and today they granted his wish in Mecosta County. It's been Brendan's dream to get his very own pontoon boat.

A girl who enjoys raising money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the company that paints the charitable organization's race car are teaming up for a special event this weekend.

Car Show for a Cause, scheduled for Saturday, is designed as a way to display many cars ranging from Lowriders to Corvettes to hot rods, while also raising money for Make-A-Wish Michigan, an organization that grants the "wishes" of children who have life-threatening medical conditions.

Make-A-Wish Michigan is stepping up to bring joy to two brothers fighting the same, uncommon disease. Crews were out building a one-of-a-kind playground for Ethan and Nolan Kosmerick. Both boys suffer from eosinophilic disorder, which prompts them to travel to the University of Cincinnati every 10 weeks for treatment.

Jenison girl gets surprise sendoff for Make-A-Wish trip to Rio

A Jenison girl is on her way to the Summer Games in Rio de Janeiro after a surprise sendoff fit for a gold medalist.

Kiley Wiers, 12, was greeted with cheers as she stepped into the Gerald R. Ford International Airport Monday morning for the trip, made possible by Make-A-Wish Michigan.
