Wish Coordinator - Brighton

Make-A-Wish Michigan is seeking resumes for the position of Wish Coordinator. This is a full-time position, based out of the Brighton office. The Wish Coordinator is responsible for the management, planning and execution of wishes. Ensures accuracy, cost-effectiveness and timeliness standards are maintained for all wish arrangements for our wish families and is charged with adhering to the policies, guidelines and procedures established by the National Office and Make-A-Wish Michigan. The Wish Coordinator is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with community partners, medical professionals, and wish families. Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in social work. Volunteer Manager

Make-A-Wish Michigan is seeking resumes for the position of Volunteer Manager that will be based out of the Brighton Headquarters. The Volunteer Manager is responsible for managing a statewide network of volunteers and for leading all aspects of the volunteer program including recruitment of new volunteers by building community partnerships and the engagement of existing volunteers. The Manager will lead, devise and implement the annual plan including oversight of the department budget, program evaluation and all volunteer data. The Volunteer Manager will be responsible for matching volunteers to opportunities and will collaborate with internal cross functional teams to manage more than 700 volunteers. The Manager will oversee the Volunteer Coordinator and ensure delivery of excellent customer service to volunteers and ensures the volunteer team does the same. The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree and CVA certification is preferred. Candidates should possess 3-5 years of prior volunteer management and/or HR experience. Candidates should have the ability to make decisions in a changing environment and anticipate future needs. Strong verbal (including public speaking experience) and written communication skills are essential to carry out the duties of this position as the Manager will spend time in the field, recruiting and training volunteer candidates and retraining and retaining current volunteers. Development Officer - West

Make-A-Wish Michigan is looking for an energetic, positive and collaborative Development Officer – West to join it’s dynamic development team. This is a full-time position in our Grand Rapids office. This position is primarily responsible for managing and coordinating the Wish Ball and Walk For Wishes in West Michigan, along with Third Party Events and other events and initiatives that are developed within the assigned territory. The ideal candidate will be well versed in relationship building, data analysis, be well-organized and passionate about the Make-A-Wish mission. This candidate must be a strong communicator and able to collaborate with many different groups of individuals. This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in marketing or non-profit management, and 3 or more years of non-profit fundraising experience.
